About Adlington Hall & Gardens
The gardens at Adlington Hall were landscaped in the 'Brownian' style during the 18th century. Earlier plantings are still in evidence, including the Lime Avenue dating from 1688, which is one of the oldest in the country.
Other features include the Wilderness with its myriad winding paths, open glades, temples, bridges and follies. Later additions include the Rose Garden, Yew Maze, Laburnum Arch, Parterre and Father Tiber Water Garden.
Open to the public in July and August only.
