An ideal event to visit by train ....
This colourful re-enactment of the Battle of Nantwich has been celebrated by the townspeople of Nantwich since 1644, and the popular re-enactment event has now been running for 40 years.
The annual Battle of Nantwich is an event that sees Nantwich thrown back to the 17th century for the day.
Armed troops with guns, drums, swords, cannons and muskets march across the town to the newly adopted site of the famed battle that brought an end to the siege that had held a tight grip on the town for six long weeks.
