Variations : Art by Annabel Thornton

Nantwich Museum

15th January 2011 - 5th March 2011

A Free Exhibition in the Millenium Gallery ....

Capturing the mood and atmosphere in all subjects, Annabel Thornton's work embraces dance, dancers, music, wildlife, portraits and more.

It explores her fascination in movement of abstract forms, shapes, colours and graceful harmonies which are emotional and inspirational. The portraits seek to capture the character of the sitter through her use of colours and technique.

Annabel says of her work: "With my art I want to capture a split moment in time. The action of the dance, the moment the conductor lifts his baton, the atmosphere in the theatre and emotions of the sitter." The work offers a blend of energy, style, movement and emotion.

Annabel was born in Cheshire and studied at Cheltenham College of Art where she gained a BA Fine Art honours degree. Her paintings and drawings have been exhibited widely including many sell-out solo shows.
