9th February 2012
The Anderton Boat Lift have a Volunteer Evening between 3pm and 7pm ...
In 2012 an exciting new charity, the Canal & River Trust, will take up the cause of the waterways in England & Wales and their 200-year old heritage – including the Anderton Boat Lift.
The Trust will enable all the very many people who use and enjoy our canals & rivers to get involved, have fun and make a real difference to their local area.
The Anderton Boat Lift are offering volunteers the opportunity to help us in all areas of our business.
Roles will include, but are not exclusive to, assisting with their events & education programmes, caring for the grounds, sharing local knowledge and past experiences with our visitors & administration support.
The Anderton Boat Lift are inviting the local community to come along to their Open Evening and see first-hand how they can become involved as a volunteer and make a contribution to their local waterway heritage.
